When in Boracay

I'm alive! Plus I made a few changes on my blog :)

Three months, it's been three months since my last post. It's not like anyone awaits my posts anyway haha! I went on a little adventure over the summer and instead of posting some rant or emotional shizz, I shall write about my adventure/s!

Last May, I went to Boracay with my friends. Nope, it wasn't during the LaBoracay weekend. It was during the week after that. We stayed there for two weeks and maaaaaaaaaaaan did we run out of things to do! Hahaha! But there were a couple of things that we didn't get tired of: sun, food, alcohol & dancing. Yes, dancing. We were dancing everywhere, all day, everyday. We can't help it! Hahaha

The Titi Crew!
These girls made the two week stay in Boracay seem like it was too short. Honestly, it was! I wish we could just sleep under the sun, eat, swim and dance. Hahaha Speaking of eating, here are some of the MUST TRY dishes and restaurants in Boracay!

Tuna and cheese omelette from Real Coffee

Jony's burger! Gotta love Jony's!

Pork belly from.. I forgot where D:

Seafood Tagine + Basmati rice from Kasbah

Croissant French Toast with Omelette from Gusto y Gustos

Smoked ham, tomato, lettuce, mozzarella, mayo, mustard from Gusto y Gustos
We stayed in Station 2, near La Carmela which meant we were a stone's throw away from Gusto y Gustos and Dos Mestizos! We instantly fell in love with both restaurants. For the second week of the trip, we had breakfast in Gusto y Gustos everyday. The bread was freshly baked - and good too! There's a variety of breakfast sets and sandwiches to choose from!

I can go on and on about my Boracay trip but I'll put an end to your torture and stop here. Haha! I think I need a rest from all the Boracay trips. That's the last time I'll be there this year. HAHA.

New tasty summer treats from Julie’s Bakeshop

Enjoy summer with exciting yummy treats from the Philippines’ largest bakeshop chain.

Summertime is bonding time, a brighter and lighter season when the kids are mostly at home and everyone is looking forward to weekends of get-togethers, out-of-town trips all powered by good food.

Keeping the whole family, especially the little ones, happy and healthy is one of the keys to a fun-filled summer. Luckily, kids can be easy to please, especially when they are given snacks that are both nutritious and enjoyable to eat. Moms shouldn’t worry about the budget because the Philippines’ leading bakeshop chain, Julie’s Bakeshop, has come up with five new summer baked goodies that are energy giving, delightfully colorful, and completely affordable.

Cupcake lovers will delight in the Rainbow Cupcake creations that are topped with four tropical flavors - pineapple, strawberry, buko pandan and ube, sprinkled with colorful confetti sugar.

To brighten up a mini-kiddie jamboree, bring home the new Rainbow Round Cake, a six-inch round butter chiffon cake with festive red, yellow, and green layers; coated in creamy whipped cream.

The Yummy Yoyos, meanwhile, are soft round sandwich puffs that come in varieties of orange, buko pandan, pineapple and strawberry, all with powdered sugar in between.

Another great treat for kids to sink their teeth into are Fruit-Filled Breads, flower-shaped delights ready to burst with flavors of guava, mango, and pineapple.

For a classic Filipino snack, Julie’s Bakeshop has also come up with delicious Empanada, filled with flavorful chicken meat, which is best eaten hot and paired with an ice-cold beverage.

With these newest creations from Julie’s Bakeshop, summer snacking has never looked this yummy for the whole family. These baked goodies are now available at all Julie’s Bakeshop branches nationwide.

When in Baguio

It's too hot here in Manila! The solution to that is... Baguio!

There are so many things to do and places to visit in Baguio. Since this is the nth time that we are going there, all we did was eat, drink, thrift shop and be merry!

In Baguio, there is a place called "Wagwagan" (I don't have photos :( ). Which is like a night market full of thrift shops. Two lanes along Burnham Park is closed from 9PM-1AM to make way for racks and racks of clothes, bags, shoes, accessories, gadgets and even food! Clothes there are crazy cheap! They range from 10 ++ depending on the item you are getting. I guess I'll have to go back to Baguio for photos LOL

SHE (Pork, chicken, fish, beef, hotdog, veggies and rice) Php 190

Struggle with food
On our second day in Baguio, we ate in 50's Diner for brunch. They have insanely cheap food given their serving size and the amount of food in one plate! I ordered the SHE which definitely drove me crazy! So many things happening in one plate. Although they have good food for cheap prices, their service sucks. They lack man power.

Enjoying Strawberry Taho!
When you're in Baguio, don't forget to get yourself some strawberry taho for breakfast!

That's about it. Hihi I need to start taking more photos :)

A stroll down Xavierville Avenue

A lot of establishments recently opened along Xavierville Avenue. This really makes me happy because soon enough, I won't even need to go to Katipunan anymore. LOL

Normally, I don't buy food from Katipunan or any resto when I'm home. I mean, why pay for food when there's free food at home, right? I don't know if I'm just being weird but I've been quite picky with food lately. I want to satisfy my cravings. Hihihi

Tonight, we had adobo at home. Looking at it and smelling didn't make me want to eat it. As I sat beside my sister, watching her eat, I was thinking of what I want to eat for dinner. I don't care if I have to spend as long as I satisfy my craving. I started thinking of impossible things such as vigan empanada, fish fillet from Fish and Co., Mondo Juice, sushi and all that other shit that I can't buy from Katipunan.

After my sister ate, we decided to grab some milktea from iheartmilktea. It opened just a couple of weeks ago and it was my first time to try out their milktea hihi

After getting our milktea fix, we passed by Crust and Buns. Another restaurant that recently opened along Xavierville Avenue. Their menu is limited - you only need to go over it once to know what you want. I think it's clever actually. Limit your customers to your specialties then keep them coming back.

Bacon and Cheese Pizza Php 79/slice

Cheeseburger Php 99
Their pizza reminded me of S&R's pizza! It's a bit smaller and the dough is a bit different but it's the next best thing! LOL. Their burger is also heavenly. The patty is grilled - which makes all the difference. The prices for their food are reasonable considering the size! I would definitely comeback and eat here~~ Anyone want to come with me? LOL.
